"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.  How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!" Psalm 139: 13-17.
Here at The Assembly, we want to provide a safe environment for all people to grow in their relationship with Christ, including those who may need additional support in their daily environments.  At the launch of this ministry in the Summer of 2023, we began providing our Special Needs Ministry to children ages 2-4, in our Nursery and Pre-K areas.  Our vision is to grow this ministry to be a part of as many of our existing ministries as possible.  We have partnered with Mrs. Deanna Morrow, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who has years of experience in Behavioral Health, and helping children reach their goals through behavioral therapy.  And now we have the great honor of translating that knowledge to a ministry perspective.  We would love for you to partner with us, as the Lord has opened this door to expand the ministry of His Kingdom in a new way. You can support us by lifting this ministry in prayer, sowing  financially, and by signing up to be a volunteer to help us facilitate this ministry on Sunday mornings.

Sensory Room

One of our initial steps toward launching this ministry was the creation of our sensory room. A sensory room is a controlled and intentionally created space that provides multi-sensory resources to support a student’s sensory needs to enable them to engage in learning. This will be a quiet room equipped with comforting materials that can help calm a child when they begin to display signs of sensory overload.  If there is overwhelming stimulation of their senses, the students can come in this room for a break from everything else that's going on, if that seems to help them.  This is with the intent of that child being able to return to the classroom and learn among peers of their own age.  Thank you for your generous donations which made this possible.
If you're interested in signing up to serve in this ministry, please fill out the information below, so we can get you connected with Mrs. Deanna.
