God’s Will Concerning Healing

It is God’s will for you to receive healing and to walk in health.

How can you receive faith for healing?  It is the same way for everyone.

Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

It is really that simple!  Faith comes by hearing God’s Word. We need to hear it over and over so it gets into our hearts! That’s it.

These verses prophesy about Jesus and what this new covenant will bring to us.

Isaiah 53:4-12 (KJV)
4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8  He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9  And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10  Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11  He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 54:13-17 (KJV)
13  And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14  In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15  Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16  Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Jesus has already come,  received stripes for our healing, died on a cross for our sins, and has risen from the dead.  We are now under a new covenant where we have received power from the Holy Spirit and have been commanded to go and make disciples and heal the sick, etc.

God has made the provision, it is up to us to receive healing.  Here are some verses to help you stand on God’s Word concerning healing:

3 John 1:2 (KJV)
2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

 Mark 16:14-20 (KJV)
14  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Notice verse 17 above, “them that believe”.  That is you and me!! Not just the apostles!

Matthew 10:8 (KJV)
8  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 28:16-20 (KJV)
16  Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17  And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Notice verse 19-20 above.  We are to observe all things Jesus commanded.  One of those things was to heal the sick as in Mark 16:18.  Jesus came to do the will of the Father. ( John 6:38)

Jesus healed eveyone that asked.  He told us to go and heal the sick.  Also, look at

James 5:14-15 (KJV) 14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

You should have no doubt now that it is God’s will for all to be healed.

Here are some scriptures to help you have confidence when praying to receive healing.  God’s Word is the truth.  We can not trust our circumstances or what anyone says that is contrary to what God has said.   Believe what God has said.

1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)
14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Matthew 21:22 (KJV)
22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Mark 11:22-24 (KJV)
22  And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

In the above scripture in Mark, Jesus tells us to speak to the mountain.  That means to speak to the problem.  Jesus and none of the disciples asked God to heal anyone.  They simply spoke to the problem and commanded it to leave.  They did this by the power of the Holy Spirit.  The same Holy Spirit that lives in you and me!

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

If you struggle with depression, anxiety, fear, etc.  You can command it to leave.  Do not yield to it!  Instead, speak the truth!  According to the above verse, God has given you a sound mind!

Acts 10:34 (KJV)
34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

What God has done for others, He will do for you.  He is no respecter of persons.  That is good news!

As children of God being born again we receive the promises of Abraham!  Again, GOOD NEWS!

Romans 4:16  says16  Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Psalm 91:1-16 (KJV)
1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8  Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9  Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

In the book of Mark in chapter 5, Jesus tell Jairus to “Be not afraid, only believe.”  It really is that simple!  Let’s believe God!
